...well,regular production ceased at the plant today,heavy equipment movers stormed the saltmine,off the rest of the weekend,then tentatively a couple more weeks doing stupid shit to finalize the closing...a couple prospects here locally,pale by comparison in the compensation department...what to do,what to do???
...i should be pissed,but i'm not,it's been a good run...severance will hold a couple months...an opportunity will present itself...aint been unemployed...ever...well since '86' anyway...had a couple 89 day jobs back then if ya catch my drift...unemployment ?...yeah right,here in mississippi the max is about 20% of my pay...talk about useless,gotta jump thru the hoops and toot a couple horns to get that...fuck'em,i aint even going there,i got a couple interviews coming,one in arkansas,west central...same field,same processes...unfortunately the first words out of their mouth was "do you have a degree?"(assuming it was in response to my salary requirements) ...hey asshat,how'bout damn near 25 years experience,with only two employers,and about 15 years of that as supervision???
...anyway,as this thing progresses,i'm sure i'll seek solace in the sphere,so please...be gentle...lol
